Welcome to the Porch Project, a new collaboration encompassing the warp and weft of our individual and shared lives in art, design, and community. Join us as we work creatively to honor and amplify positive voices and messages, and celebrate the human stories behind them.

We believe that even in difficult and dark times there are seeds of promise and strength. This is our way - together - of meeting this moment.

We are two designers - a creative couple - who for 25 years have bordered and supported each other’s unique pathways. With the Porch Project we join forces on a variety of new creative (ad)ventures that bridge architecture and interiors, design, art, craft, and social impact.

We often speak in terms of botanical growth: of planting, nurturing seeds, of the organic emergence of something new, birthed with intention and held in balance with both fierceness and reverence.

Though we are clear-eyed as we witness societal disruption, rising inequity, climate injustice, and the politics of division, anger, and exclusion, we nonetheless hold optimism as our north as we move forward. Rather than succumb to the impulse to rage, the Porch Project helps us direct and focus our attention and our creative energies towards whom and what we support. 

As we watch the flight of this arrow, we hope its trajectory follows a path of utility and reciprocity, landing in the heart of PURPOSE, for ourselves and for all those with whom we engage.

The Porch Project is about metabolizing life:
